Product Manager, Compute AI This role will focus upon serving the edge server market, a rapidly expanding segment of the technology industry. An edge server is a server that is positioned at the "edge" of a network, closer to where data is being generated and consumed by users and devices. This contrasts with a traditional server architecture, where data is typically processed in a centralized data center or the cloud. By processing data closer to its source, edge servers enable real-time analytics, lower latency, faster decision-making, and lower bandwidth costs. Key drivers of this market include the proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, the rollout of 5G networks, and the increasing demand for real-time applications such as autonomous vehicles, smart cities, and industrial automation. The market is also fueled by the need for enhanced security, as data travels a shorter distance and is exposed to fewer potential risks. The edge server market is segmented by various factors, including application (industrial and commercial servers), form factor (blade, rack, and HCI), and end-user industries like telecommunications, healthcare, and manufacturing. North America currently holds the largest market share, with significant investment from major cloud service providers and a robust digital infrastructure. However, the Asia-Pacific region is projected to experience the highest growth rates due to the expansion of IoT and 5G. This role would primarily pick up and extend the existing HPE Edgeline portfolio of products. Responsibilities: Leads and drives the end to end strategy and operational product roadmap for a product Defines the value proposition, target customer segments, and business case to bring one or more innovative and disruptive products to market with respect to the whole company product portfolio Synthesizes market requirements into marketing/customer details through having intimate customer knowledge and business, financial and industry market acumen Advises key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle Creates goal alignment and collaborates across value chain partners to optimize margins and enable success of product per plans across the product lifecycle Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or other STEM field. A MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering would be highly valued. 4+ years of work experience in related field. Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry. Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop product strategy and lead teams to achieve results. Demonstrated skills in cost efficient solution building, financial performance metric creation and analysis. Demonstrated business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection. Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry and ability to provide product specific technical training to the team.
