Reports to: Hardware Store Manager Classification: Non-Union Rate of Pay: Up to $14.00 Hours: Sunday - Saturday, varied hours Job Description: Assist customers with purchases and answer any questions they may have Operate cash register in an accurate and efficient manner Follow all store policies and procedures Maintain a clean and safe store environment Work well as part of a team to assist with all department tasks Requirements: Excellent customer service skills Experience working in a hardware store and familiarity with key cutting Good knowledge of hardware products including shovels, rakes, and lawn mower blades Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and operate equipment Benefits: Store Discount Employee Assistance Programs Flexible Schedule Physical Requirements: Frequent: Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 20 lbs, equipment operation, reaching, standing, turning, judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math Occasional: Lifting and carrying over 50 lbs, equipment operation (calculator), squatting, stooping/bending, walking, ability to use a ladder
