Position Overview

The Validation Engineer will play a crucial role in assessing and planning work to mitigate risk in NTI and NPI programs. Responsibilities include working with design leads to establish test plans, participating in Simulation and Test Collaboration Workshops, and providing quality approval of FMEA/DVP&R. The role involves significant interaction with a large team of engineers and technologists focused on new product programs, including electric drive technology.



Job Responsibilities

Attend project execution team meetings for assigned NPI/NTI projects.
Assess new content and develop high-level test plans, supplementing these with detailed FMEA-based DVP&R.
Present in Design Reviews and Gate Reviews on Validation Readiness.
Engage in regular communication and collaboration with design and test engineers.



Education & Experience Required

Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum with 9+ years of experience, OR
Master's degree in an Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum with 7+ years of experience, OR
Doctorate degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
Previous product development experience (design, validation/test, or analysis).



Technical Skills Required

Experience with electric drive systems and/or components.
Experience with structured FMEA & DVP&R process.
Experience with NPI Issue resolution process.
Familiarity with CAT NPI Programs and Processes.



Technical Skills Desired

Additional skills in advanced electric drive technologies and validation methodologies are preferred.
