Facility Maintenance Technician

Catapult is currently qualifying Facility Maintenance candidates for a long-term opportunity. Perform work involving the skills of maintenance or craft to keep machines, mechanical equipment or the structure of the establishment in good repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting, insulating, welding, machining, carpentry, HVAC repair, mechanical equipment installing, aligning and balancing new equipment. Repairing buildings, floors, replacing bulb fixtures. This person would be doing general maintenance, ex; yard upkeep, changing light bulbs, light maintenance, etc.



PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Essential Job DutiesDaily cleaning and stocking of warehouse facilities including bathrooms and break areas.
Daily removal or trash from warehouse area and location mapping of garbage cans.
Safety system inspections and upkeep including eye wash stations, fire extinguishers and safety lights monthly.? As needed in mill.
As necessary water roads.
As necessary weed spraying and removal
As necessary snow removal and salting.
Repair facility, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
Maintains buildings to include the repair of windows, door, roof, floors, stairways; construct shop partitions, bins, racks, pallets and shipping crates; shovel snow; lawn care, mowing, etc.,
Other assignments as dictated by supervisor.

2.Qualifications and ExperienceFormal training program or combination of equivalent education and/or experience preferred
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures
Troubleshooting
Critical Thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

3.Physical RequirementsPhysical exertion required
Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crawl, climb, walk, stand, ability to maneuver stairs and other equipment
Lift up to 75lbs
Ability to effectively communicate with others required

4.Environmental RequirementsWarehouse environment, not uniformly heated or air-conditioned
Exposure to dust, oil, and industrial lubricants
Exposure to outdoor weather
Exposure to different levels of noise

5.Safety RequirementsHard Hat
Safety Glasses
Steel toe and metatarsal boots
Gloves
Hearing protection
Depending on the area, there may be other required PPE

Hours will be either 7am - 4pm or 8am - 5pm.
