The Facilities Maintenance Technician II ensures service delivery to client is timely and of the highest quality, in addition maintains and repairs physical structures, building finishing’s, cleans and maintains grounds by performing the following duties.

  • Receive written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor or clients
  • Performs minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC/R and carpentry tasks
  • Performs preventative maintenance on facility equipment (monthly, quarterly, and annually)
  • Repairs and maintains the facilities floors, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, ceilings, fixtures, and furniture
  • Painting rooms, ceilings, windows, fixtures, and furniture
  • Responds to off-hour emergencies as needed
  • Installation and repair of equipment and fixtures
  • Oversite of subcontractors
  • Performs preventive maintenance on emergency equipment
  • Drives a company vehicle for snow removal, material pick up, etc
  • All other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this Job, the associate is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate is frequently required to climb or balance and talk or hear. The associate is occasionally required to sit. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years multi-craft and general handyman experience.
  • Trade certificate or license with 1-2 years' experience
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
  • Mechanically inclined, Basic Computer knowledge, knowledge of CMMS Software and Microsoft Office Applications.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently exposed to moving mechanical equipment and tools. The associate is occasionally exposed to outside weather, including wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
