Quality Tech - Major Job Function & Duties

Our Quality Technician is responsible for in-process inspection and testing quality verification. Ensure all QA test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly. Responsible for documentation, sampling and quarantining of non-conforming material. Primary Duties:

  • Understand and use quality assurance specifications, standard test procedures, blueprints/drawings, and other engineering specification
  • Perform incoming inspections of materials and components
  • Perform in-process quality control inspections and document results of tests/inspections
  • Identify, segregate and label non-conforming product. Notify management of non-conforming product
  • Maintain quality records as per documented procedures, including test data and retained samples. Communicate inspection findings with appropriate Quality, Production and Engineering personnel
  • Assemble job books for production
  • Perform quality inspections

Wage

  • $39,000/year - $45,000/year (approximately $19-$22/hour) - based on experience
  • If working on 2nd shift there is a $1/hour shift differential and a $2/hour shift differential on 3rd 

Hours:

  • First Shift
    • Monday - Friday | 6am - 2pm
  • Third Shift
    • Monday - Friday | 10pm - 6am
    • *Training will be conducted on 1st shift for approximately 60-90 days

Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma of GED
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Prior experience utilizing testing equipment preferred
  • Prior experience utilizing /reading measuring tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Keen attention to detail with good organization and communication skills
  • Physical demands:  bending, carrying, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, and walking.  Frequent keyboarding.
