We are looking for a motivated candidate with an interest in developing both field and analytical skills, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of a strong team.Job ResponsibilitiesUse GIS and GPS to aid in planning and executing geotechnical field workLog test boringsOversight of subcontractors including drillers, and traffic controlCreate basic plans and figures using AutoCAD and GISAssign and review laboratory testsPerform calculations to support geotechnical designsProvide support on preparation of geotechnical reports and proposalsObserve geotechnical-related construction and perform materials testingPlan and coordinate geotechnical and materials testing field workPrepare field reportsReview geotechnical and materials testing reportsRequired Skills/Experience1-3 years of professional experienceBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or related fieldExcellent oral and written communication skillsPositive attitudeAbility to multi-taskStrong work ethic and a desire for continual self-improvementWillingness and ability to perform field work and travel, including assignments that may last several months away from the officeAbility to lift 60 pounds and be physically able to negotiate construction sites, enter trenches, climb ladders and work outsideDesired Skills/ExperiencePrior internship or professional work in a related field (i.e. geotechnical engineering, construction, civil engineering, etc.)Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, Master’s degree preferredCompletion of geotechnical-focused undergraduate courseworkEIT certificationOther RequirementsAbility to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit checkAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screeningThe compensation range for this position is between $57,200 to $86,000.Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors.
