Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Behavioral Classroom Aide. The Behavioral Classroom Aide provides behavioral support services in the school setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Provides personal care and behavioral assistance/interventions to assigned student(s).

+ Assisting students with:

+ Class room activities

+ Grooming

+ Eating/Meal preparation

+ Toileting

+ Assisting with ambulation and transfer services

+ Management of assault/difficult behavior

+ Crisis Intervention

+ Encouraging Independence

+ Maintaining student safety

+ Implementation of behavioral plans

+ Changes in assignment due to client request must be verified

+ Behavioral Aide is to confirm schedule weekly with Amergis office staff.

+ Documents care per Amergis policies and procedures

+ Communication notes or incident logs are filled out and turned in on a timely basis when necessary.

+ Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

+ High School diploma or its equivalent.

+ Associates degree in behavioral studies or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.

+ Full command, verbal and written, of the English language.

+ Current Health Certificate (if applicable)

+ Current CPR card.

+ Current TB Skin test or Chest X-ray

+ Successful completion of Company testing process
