Nurse Supervisor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our patient care unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and that our nursing staff is equipped to provide exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing personnel to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Verify that patients' needs are met and evaluate the quality of nursing care provided.
Participate in planning and coordinating the work of assigned units and collaborate with other patient care units and departments.
Develop and implement training programs for unit staff members and participate in educational initiatives.
Coordinate and direct the flow of patients through the hospital's patient care delivery services.
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to nursing staff and serve as a resource for crisis management.
Represent the department and hospital executives as needed and report concerns or events to designated administrative personnel.

Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and supervisor experience in an acute care hospital.
Current Texas State RN license.
CPR (American Heart Association) certification.
ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
NIHSS certification required within 90 days of hire/transfer date.
De-escalation training required within 90 days of hire/transfer date.
