Nurse Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our patient care unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and that our nursing staff is equipped to provide exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing personnel to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
• Verify that patients' needs are met and evaluate the quality of nursing care provided.
• Participate in planning and coordinating the work of assigned units and collaborate with other patient care units and departments.
• Develop and implement training programs for unit staff members and participate in educational initiatives.
• Coordinate and direct the flow of patients through the hospital's patient care delivery services.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to nursing staff and serve as a resource for crisis management.
• Represent the department and hospital executives as needed and report concerns or events to designated administrative personnel.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and supervisor experience in an acute care hospital.
• Current Texas State RN license.
• CPR (American Heart Association) certification.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
• NIHSS certification required within 90 days of hire/transfer date.
• De-escalation training required within 90 days of hire/transfer date.
