Assistant Electrical Superintendent

SUMMARYMortenson is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Electrical Superintendent in our Power Delivery Group with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This individual will have the aptitude to anticipate problems, critical issues, and opportunities as they arise; along with the capability to creatively problem-solve and bring together viable solutions. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are vital, with attention to detail equally important. The Assistant Electrical Superintendent will provide coordination and supervision of subcontractors and craft team members.RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate work projects within the electrical scope of the building sitePartner with the Sr. Superintendent in formwork selection, equipment sizing, and site utilization planWork with Sr. Superintendent in development of project schedules and updates, and creation of 3-week look-aheadEnsure work teams have needed resources and supportSupervise and ensure quality control of work team, including self-performed and subcontracted workAttend and participate in project meetings, and act as the liaison between field engineers and contractors or craft workers to ensure construction complies with drawings and specificationsSupervise and provide leadership for electrical teamCoach, mentor, and train craftsEstablish and nurture teamwork environment, promoting inclusivity, and valuing diversityMonitor work progress and performance of crafts, forepersons, and subcontractorsImplement and monitor Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety Program at project siteMaintain relationships with all visitors to the site: customers, architects, union representatives, subcontractors, etc.Manage site work and logistics efficiently, providing suggestions for improvementQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experienceMinimum five years construction/supervision experience, working with medium to high voltage projectsExperienced in electrical collectionsCompletion of or interest in Master, Journeyman, or Apprentice electrician program preferredMicrosoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate levelCurrent driver's licenseAbility to travelA few benefits offered include:Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverageDental plan401k retirement plan with a generous Morinison matchPaid time off, holidays, and other paid leavesEmployer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insuranceNo-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resourcesTuition reimbursementAdoption AssistanceGym Membership Discount ProgramThe base pay range for this role is $105,000 MIN - $150,800 MAX.(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
