Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and scaling secure, high-performance blockchain and crypto wallet products for Ava Labs and our ecosystem partners. This role is an integral part of our technical leadership group—pioneering cutting-edge solutions, building modular and scalable crypto wallet infrastructures, and ensuring the highest standards of security.WHAT YOU WILL DOInnovate & Architect:Design, develop, and maintain crypto wallet systems using Golang, ensuring robust support for protocols such as multi-party computation (MPC) and multi-signature (multi-sig) configurationsArchitect modular, scalable backend systems with an unwavering commitment to security and performanceCollaborate Across Teams:Work closely with Partners to optimize configurations and setups for Ava Labs productsProvide technical guidance across Business Development, Product, Security, Finance, and Engineering teamsDrive Product Advancements:Assess opportunities and recommend solutions tailored to client needsEstablish architectures and systems that ensure mass adoption of Ava Labs products while maintaining top-tier securityExhibit Extreme Ownership:Demonstrate an independent, driven mindset that thrives on taking initiative without being micromanagedTake full responsibility for delivering high-quality, secure backend solutions while continuously embracing challenges, learning, and pushing boundaries to drive product excellenceWHAT YOU WILL BRINGTechnical Expertise:5+ years of hands-on engineering experience with a strong focus on backend systems, particularly in Golang—experience with JavaScript is a plusProven track record in building crypto wallets or blockchain-related productsDeep understanding of both UTXO and Account models, state management, and consensus mechanismsExtensive experience in secure coding practices with a very strong understanding of security principles as they apply to blockchain and crypto wallet systemsFamiliarity with competitive technologies and cloud service setupsLeadership & Independence:A self-driven, independent mindset with extreme ownership over your work and outcomes Thrive in an environment where you are empowered to take initiative and work autonomously without being micromanagedExcellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming technical challengesCustomer Focus:A user-centric approach to designing and launching high-quality products that fuel the growth of the crypto economyProven ability to empathize with customer challenges and translate those insights into actionable development prioritiesNICE TO HAVE3+ years of solutions architecture experienceExperience with multi-party computation (MPC) protocolsHands-on experience with advanced security testing tools and methodologiesExpertise in infrastructure engineering, including Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or AzurePrior senior-level engineering experience in a blockchain or crypto organizationSalary Range: $184,450.00-$219,034.00(This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
