Production Technician

Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?Plant OperationsJob Responsibilities:Fully supports, accurately completes, maintains, instills corporate Health, Safety and Environmental policies/procedures and relevant documentation at the facility in operating/maintaining responsibility for a safe, efficient, environmentally friendly facilityDemonstrates identified skill sets in daily operational dutiesActively pursuing own growth/career development through self-initiative practices; working with resources made available as coordinated with supervisorInstills safety in others by being safety minded; models good safety practicesParticipates in operational/routine maintenance tasks within facility work group without interruption of customer product deliveriesFosters open communication amongst all facility technicians in relation to best practices, operational/facility needs, safety issues/concerns, conflicts of interest between shifts/other departments, sharing operational knowledge/expertiseAssists/works closely with lead production technician or plant manager with daily facility needsWork order generation; ensures accurate/complete information in maintenance work ordersConducts acceptance PSSR reviews with operations and maintenanceIdentifies potential needs, enters them into CMMSKeeps accurate records; diligent in documentation, record retention policies/proceduresDetermines if immediate maintenance action is required; documents it; reports to appropriate personnelStudying/maintaining site-specific standard operating procedures, P and IDs, PFDs, all other technical documentation as relates to operational/equipment processesInnovations/improvement project involvementGenerating initial documentation for on-site contractor, vendor, guest, or visitor site-specific training needsEscorting on-site contractors, vendors, guests, or visitors throughout facility as needed; ensures their compliance with national safety policies/proceduresCalibrates all plant process analytical equipmentParticipation in facility safety meetings, inspectionsUnloading cryogenic transports as necessaryFollows policies/procedures on proper notification for vacation scheduling, floating holidays, personal days offRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or GED2+ years of related industrial operations experienceAbility to work 12 hour rotating shiftsOverall understanding of plant safety rules, regulations, company safety policies/proceduresPerforms all work in compliance with standard operating/maintenance procedures, utilizing current Life Safety skills, Safe Start and safety requirements including safe work permits, energy control isolation, IDLs, confined space entry work, hot work, work plans, pre-job discussions, plant safety inspections, etcAcquiring knowledge/ability in all plant operations including processes/equipmentExhibits understanding of governmental regulations including environmental permitting/compliance, loading /quality assurance, basic electricity, national/local operating procedures, CMMS, maintenance management process, all HSE issues associated with the facilityExhibits mechanical abilityPreferred Qualifications:2 year Associates Degree in a technical field or technical trainingAre you a MATCH?5 years previous operation experienceOur Differences make our PerformanceAt Air Liquide, we are committed to build a diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces the diversity of our employees, our customers, patients, community stakeholders and cultures across the world.We welcome and consider applications from all qualified applicants, regardless of their background.
