Our technology teams in the NYC office work closely with global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our Market business users around the world, to perform their tasks quickly, simply and securely.

Our multi-disciplined teams include DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back-end developers, infrastructure specialists, as well as project and program managers.

We work in small, agile DevOps teams with colleagues around the world from our offices at our global headquarters and around the world.

Seeking a Sr SW Developer with Excellent knowledge of Java, ReactJs. Good to have knowledge on NodeJS and Kotlin.

This role will work on design, implementation and support of Front to back data store from the hardware to the business service. It's a full stack vertical function providing a business-critical service for end of day data distribution across different bank functions.

Project is a simplification and cost reduction project which aims at demising thousands of point-to-point trade, valuation and risk feeds between Front office asset classes and back office systems (such as Traded Risk and Finance).

Purpose of the job:

System needs to scale multiple times for successful delivery of regulatory IMA work.

Candidate would join the team in NY and help re-architect and re-engineer the platform on GCP and on-prem. Candidate would also be expected to work on functional deliveries and help continue to improve our agile practices.



This role will carry out some or all of the following activities:

Taking ownership for end-to-end delivery of tasks including requirement clarification, design, development, testing and releasing in production.
Coordinating and collaborating with global teams in Europe and Asia.
Working in agile environment and participate in Sprint planning, Scrum and Backlog grooming.
Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand the end-to-end data flow, which aspect of the application are critical and propose improvement to facilitate the monitoring of the platform.
Working in Devops environment, help in resolving production issues and user queries during UK Time zone.

Responsible for the Functional Delivery:

Candidate would be a part of small scrum team. Pod members work together to deliver end to end user stories starting from refining user stories, design, coding, testing and releasing to production.

Pod members coordinate with other teams and business stakeholders to achieve a successful business outcome.

Design and Architecture

Design technical solutions and contribute to overall platform architecture. Candidates are expected to bring ideas and solution which helps in overall improvement of the architecture and simplification of the platform.

Devops

Help in automation of releases, monitoring and testing and improve processes for faster cycle time to production.

Contribute to production stability and resolving users’ queries.

Major Challenges: The rapidly changing landscape of the Middle Office & Regulatory business requires a flexible approach to be able to adapt to evolving Business needs while always ensuring integrity of Production systems. Recent Regulatory requirements have led to a huge growth in system usage and data storage.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

10+ years of experience in working in large, fast-paced and agile environments.
Excellent knowledge of Java, ReactJs. Good to have knowledge of NodeJS and Kotlin.
Experience of SQL and relational databases.
Experience of working in Linux/Unix environments.
Knowledge of HTTP APIs e.g. RESTful APIs.
Design, best coding practices and writing unit/Integration tests.
Designing Scalable, Secure and Resilient solutions on Cloud (GCP/AWS) and on-prem.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

Good communication skills, strong analytical, problem-solving skills and decision-making skills required.

Able to adapt to working in different roles and on different technologies
Take ownership of delivery of business requirements
Self-motivated, enthusiastic and ability to learn with minimal supervision under pressure.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

Experience in Apache Beam & Dataflow, Google Cloud (GCP) and Ansible deployment.

Experience of working with the Tick stack (Grafana / Influx DB)
Experience of working in Finance/Banking sector around Risk / Large data analytics.
Middleware – Pubsub/Solace/Kafka/MQ
