Engineer/MLE, AGI Customization Job ID: 3076445 | Amazon.com Services LLC The Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team is looking for a passionate, talented, and inventive ML Engineer with a strong machine learning background to build customization capabilities such as fine tuning and distillation. As an ML engineer on the AGI team, you will lead the development of novel LLM training techniques and optimizations to advance the state of LLMs, collaborating closely with Applied Scientists and leveraging Amazon’s heterogeneous data sources and large-scale computing resources to accelerate development of multimodal Large Language Models and Generative Artificial Intelligence solutions. Responsibilities Work with other team engineers to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility. Collaborate closely with Applied Scientists to process data, scale machine learning models while optimizing. Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience. 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language. 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems. Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
