Minimum qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience. 15 years of product management experience in enterprise hardware systems (compute, networking, storage). Experience with data center infrastructure and Cloud computing. Experience as a builder of infrastructure products. Preferred qualifications 8 years of experience as a leader of leaders. Experience partnering with hardware OEM vendors such as Dell, NVidia. Understanding of GenAI technology stack. Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies and trends: public/private cloud, GPU, virtualization, containerization. Ability to collect/analyze market and customer data, interpret and present complex information to drive strategic decision‑making. Excellent organization, prioritization, and written/verbal communication skills. About the job Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) is a cloud‑centric platform that enables enterprises to run modern apps anywhere consistently at scale. As the Director of Product for GDC, you will define the long‑term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the GDC IaaS (Compute, Storage, Networking) portfolio and hardware portfolio, aligning it with overall GDC goals, market trends, customer needs, and GTM strategy. Over time, you will help define new products and services that enable governments to use AI for citizen services, manufacturers to use video for visual inspections, and retailers to modernize hardware for dynamic applications. Google Cloud accelerates digital transformation for organizations worldwide with enterprise‑grade solutions and sustainable developer tools. US base salary range: $272,000–$383,000 plus bonus, equity, benefits. Responsibilities Collaborate with engineering and sales to define product requirements, prioritize features, and oversee the product development lifecycle from concept to launch. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of product managers. Identify and address technical risks, infrastructure bottlenecks, and scaling challenges. Work effectively with engineering, design, marketing, sales, support, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product execution.
