Employee Referral Bonus ProgramJob SummaryThe Intake Coordinator processes all incoming patients, monitors patient flow, answers telephone to Company standards, and schedules/confirms patient appointments. The Representative communicates between the patient and office to ensure all protocols are being followed and uses a strong working knowledge of medical terminology to address patient inquiries, solve problems and promote services.Job ResponsibilitiesFollow HIPAA regulationsEnsure customers' expectations are exceeded by directing and communicating patient needs effectivelyCollaborate with Intake Team and receptionists to schedule new patients quickly and efficientlyUtilize Company resources to determine where patients should treat, based off geography and insurance eligibilityAnswer phone calls courteously, collect and document detailed information, and route phone calls appropriately based on office protocolsCorrespond with patients, patient reps, and attorneys regarding initial appointment detailsEfficiently provide basic office administrative support tasks such as emails, updating spreadsheets, e-faxing, etc.Communicate efficiently via phone and emailUpload/download documents to/from the EHRDocument updates in multiple spreadsheetsContact attorneys regarding client no-show appointmentsWork as part of a team and also work independentlyMinimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentKnowledge of workers' compensation, motor vehicle accidents, and personal injury cases preferred, but not requiredKnowledge of computer applications, including Windows, Google Suite, and Microsoft OfficeUnderstanding of different insurance eligibilitiesAdditional Skills/CompetenciesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPhone and computer proficiencyCommunication skillsMulti-tasking skillsStrong problem solving and organizational skillsAttention to detailTyping - 50+ WPMBilingual (Spanish/English) preferred, but not requiredPhysical/Mental RequirementsSitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, working with body bent over at waist, working in kneeling position, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, working with arms extended at shoulder length, lifting maximum of 20 lbs.Diversity StatementExcelsia Injury Care is an equal opportunity employer.
