Position Overview
The Vice President of Acquisitions & Development is responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of acquisition and development projects. This role requires a deep understanding of the real estate market and the ability to identify, evaluate, and secure profitable opportunities that align with the company's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the acquisition and development strategy for residential properties.
  • Identify and evaluate potential land acquisition opportunities.
  • Negotiate and finalize deals for land development and real estate acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to oversee project entitling processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, government agencies, and industry partners.
  • Conduct market research and feasibility studies to support acquisition decisions.
  • Prepare and present acquisition proposals to the executive team.
  • Manage the acquisition process from initial sourcing to closing.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in land development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in real estate acquisitions and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in successfully sourcing and closing land acquisition deals.
  • Strong understanding of residential property development and entitling processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and market trends effectively.
