Your Opportunity
The Sr. Manager, Corporate Development will drive increased shareholder value through applying industry experience with proactive and creative deal sourcing that leads to transactions to consolidate and extend ESAB's capabilities to new segments of opportunity in the fabrication technology segment. This position will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of ESAB's growth strategy through evaluation and execution of acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions. The Sr. Manager, Corporate Development will have responsibility for sourcing and executing transactions that align with the business' strategic roadmap and that contribute to the company's top-line and bottom-line growth, while working collaboratively with the executive team and cross-functional groups including Operations, Commercial, Product Management, HR, Finance, Tax, and Legal, in addition to external resources.

What you will do

  1. Develop deep intelligence and business model expertise in Fabrication Technology and adjacent spaces.
  2. Work closely with the executive team and business unit leaders to develop a comprehensive acquisition and partnership strategic framework to guide areas of focus and opportunity evaluation criteria.
  3. Build a pipeline of strategic opportunities through developing a network of key players in the industry from which to source potential transactions.
  4. Prepare detailed business cases and recommendations to the executive team and Board of Directors.
  5. Lead all aspects of deal execution including research of targets, strategic and financial assessment, due diligence, transaction structuring, and negotiation.
  6. Monitor progress and success post-deal (ROI measures, KPI achievements).
  7. Participate in corporate strategic planning process.

  6. Ability to contribute to high-level strategy in addition to being a master of details and process when needed.
  7. Track record of success in a fast-paced and extremely dynamic environment with the ability to be self-sufficient, proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity.
  8. Experience working in a global or multi-national business is desired.
  9. Minimum of 6 years' experience leading deal teams in M&A-focused strategic consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development environments.

Education Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree required. MBA preferred.
