Swim School Senior Manager

Join a rapidly growing Big Blue Swim School portfolio in the Greater Philadelphia area as a Senior Manager. We are looking for a leader that can grow into a General Manager position within 6-12 months. The position will be based out of Fairless Hills, Pa. Our Fairless Hills location is currently under construction. During construction the role will require 50% onsite at our Paoli location until the Fairless Hills store opens.The job also requires travel to headquarter training in Chicago for 2 weeks.
The position will be responsible for the daily activities of the Swim Associates and adherence to Big Blue Swim School processes and procedures. The leader needs to be an effective communicator, great problem solver, mentor to staff and has a high standard for customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Opening Activities:
- Support Grassroots Marketing
- Support hiring of initial class of swim associates
- Help with new pool opening activities
Customer Service:
- Communicates with parents/customers on a regular basis to provide appropriate status updates and a high level of customer service.
- Conducts daily monitoring and review of swimmer's progress, checkbox completion, and move-ups to ensure appropriate progression in lesson.
- Trains the front desk on any current promotions and best customer services practices along with owning conversion of trial leads to paid weekly lessons and share best practices with the team.
People Management:
- Supervise 10-20 swim associates and ensure they are adhering to Big Blue Swim School principles and curriculum and conduct monthly 1:1 Swim Associate evaluations with direct reports.
- Enforce all safety procedures and required certifications and facilitate bi-weekly team trainings as needed.
Pool Maintenance: Ensure building operations including cleanliness, water quality, and pump room operations. Other duties will be assigned as needed.
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative to those of an employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly working in and around a pool environment which includes warm temperatures and wet conditions. Working with chemicals is a regular part of this job. The noise level in the work environment may be moderately loud. This job also works in a standard office environment.
