Postdoctoral Fellow - Health Care Markets, Policy, and Regulation Position Summary We are inviting applications for a postdoctoral fellowship position. The prospective postdoctoral fellow will work with faculty and students conducting research on health care markets, policy and regulation. During the one or two‑year fellowship, the fellow will collaborate with faculty on ongoing research focused on insurance markets, drug pricing, provider pricing, vertical integration of healthcare organizations, and regulation of health care markets. The fellow will also have time for their own complementary research, with access to our data sources. Supervised by Professor Leemore Dafny. Appointment begins July 1 2026 and may be renewed for a second year on mutual agreement. Basic Qualifications A Ph.D. in economics, public policy or a closely related field, completed within five years before the fellowship start date. Strong analytical and programming skills, preferably with industrial organization coursework. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate. Team player who can build trust and collaborate by being present on site and engaging directly with colleagues and stakeholders. Additional Qualifications If you obtained your Ph.D. in the past 12 months you must provide a completion certificate or a registrar’s letter confirming the degree, with no exceptions. Candidates may be asked to undergo an assessment during the interview process. Position Details Term position from July 2026 (start flexible) through June 30 2027, with possible renewal based on funding and performance. Hybrid work: onsite at Boston, MA campus with a schedule determined with the manager. Relocation funding not provided. Interviews will include virtual (phone/Zoom) for selected candidates.
