Join us in our mission to revolutionize the gaming world As a Temporary Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting our store team during peak sales times, ensuring our guests receive outstanding service. You will be integral to our dynamic sales culture, known as the Circle of Life, which encapsulates our buy, sell, trade, and reservation business model. Your essential duties will focus on sales, store maintenance, and delivering top-tier customer service. Key Responsibilities Deliver best-in-class customer service by warmly greeting guests and assisting with their gaming needs, while also suggesting complementary items and thanking each guest for choosing GameStop. Contribute to maintaining an engaging shopping environment, participating actively in all sales initiatives throughout the bustling holiday season. Work closely with the store team to ensure cleanliness and organization in all areas of the store according to company standards. Assist with stocking and restocking merchandise, ensuring that all products are presented well and organized on the sales floor. Support the store team in achieving sales goals and reducing shrinkage through effective teamwork. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously, escalating issues to a store keyholder as necessary. Implement inventory control and loss prevention strategies while adhering to safety best practices. Follow GameStop’s policies and procedures consistently, including attendance, confidentiality, and ethical responsibilities. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Skills and Abilities Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Capability to follow written and spoken instructions effectively. An outgoing personality with strong customer service skills to engage with every guest visit. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, with bilingual skills in English and Spanish preferred. Adaptability to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the team. Meet professional dress, grooming, and performance expectations consistently. Physical capability to stand and move throughout the store for at least 8 hours per day, lift merchandise up to 30 lbs., and perform tasks that require bending and reaching. Reliability and trustworthiness are a must.
