Job specification

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit, including monitoring and interpreting telemetry readings.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans, ensuring optimal recovery and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and enhance clinical outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge processes.

Candidate requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing (Diploma or Associate Degree)
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a progressive care or telemetry setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
  • Certification in Progressive Care Nursing (PCCN) is preferred.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) preferred.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification is required before completion of orientation.
