As part of a global family-owned company, this organization offers exceptional stability and growth opportunities while maintaining a close-knit, award-winning workplace culture.This manufacturer combines cutting-edge technology (5-axis laser cutting, injection molding, and advanced CAD systems) with a commitment to innovation in the fenestration industry.This is an excellent opportunity for a design engineer looking to make a tangible impact in product development while working in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with an on-site testing lab and training center.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop locking, operating, and rolling components for residential window and door applications using 3D CAD softwareLead new product development initiatives from concept through launch, adhering to established stage-gate processesDrive value engineering and continuous improvement activities for both existing and new productsInterface directly with sales teams and customers to develop market-driven technical solutionsDevelop and execute test protocols to ensure products meet industry performance benchmarks and operational requirementsProvide technical support to Manufacturing and Quality Control departments to resolve production-related challengesCollaborate with domestic and overseas suppliers to optimize designs for volume production and budget targetsMaintain comprehensive engineering documentation in accordance with document control protocolsParticipate in Lean manufacturing activities and contribute to operational excellence initiativesManage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget constraintsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldMinimum 5 years of design engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience with CREO CAD software (this is essential)Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including die-casting, injection molding, and metal stampingDemonstrated knowledge of machine design, kinematics, dynamics, and structural analysisWorking knowledge of materials including metals, plastics, and coatingsProficiency in both 2D and 3D CAD applicationsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectivelyClear communication skills for cross‑functional collaborationMechanical aptitude and hands‑on approach to engineering challengesAbility to lift up to 20 lbs and traverse production facility as neededOccasional travel (approximately 20% annually) to suppliers and customersPreferred QualificationsExperience in the window and door (fenestration) industry or building materials sectorBackground in product management from concept through commercial launchExposure to value engineering and cost reduction initiativesExperience working in a Lean manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with industry testing standards (AAMA, NAFS, ASTM)Project management experienceSalary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 annually (commensurate with experience)Comprehensive benefits package: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, company‑paid life insurance and short‑term disabilityEqual Employment Opportunity and Non-Discrimination PolicyEqual Employment Opportunity Statement: Both Keller Executive Search and our clients are Equal Opportunity Employers.
