Position Descriptions The Department of Psychology in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences (BBS) at the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) is accepting applications for seven full‑time tenure system faculty positions. Applicants should have strong research programs, be well‑funded or have high potential for funding, and be willing to teach core and elective courses in their field. Associate Professor or Professor of Psychology and Department Head The University of Texas at Dallas seeks an accomplished and visionary academic leader to serve as Department Head. Applicants are advanced Associate Professors or Full Professors with a strong record of scholarship, leadership, and expertise in one or more core areas: cognitive neuroscience, developmental science, cognitive science, clinical psychology, or social/personality psychology. Open Rank Faculty Positions in Clinical Psychological Science (2 positions) Both positions will serve as core faculty in the psychological clinical science concentration, which is accredited by the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS) and is the first program in the nation to receive approval under PCSAS’s process for newly established programs. Open Rank Faculty Position in Lifespan Cognitive Neuroscience This position will expand the department’s strength in the cognitive neuroscience of development and aging. The successful candidate will have research interests that complement and enhance the existing expertise within the Center for Vital Longevity. Open Rank Faculty Position in AI in Psychological Science We welcome profiles spanning: ML/AI as advanced statistics Core AI/genetic technologies Computational social science Strongest consideration may be given to applicants who apply modern AI pipelines and tooling to substantive psychological questions related to departmental strengths (e.g., cognitive modeling, language and social behavior, clinical assessment, developmental science). Open Rank Faculty Position in Neuroimaging of Brain Health To increase representation of expertise across MR modalities in the study of the human brain and behavior, we seek a faculty member who uses MRI as a core research tool. Investigators studying brain health and function are highly desired. This hire will be affiliated with both the Center for Brain Health and the Center for Vital Longevity and will be important for the continued growth of the imaging community within BBS and across UT Dallas. Open Rank Tenure‑System Faculty Position in Clinical Trials and Therapeutic Development We are seeking a faculty member with experience in clinical trials and therapeutic development who will help expand our reputation as a clinical trial hub. Researchers assessing pharmaceutical or device‑based interventions with FDA oversight (approved IND or IDE) will be prioritized for hire. Applicants leading rigorous clinical trial programs outside the oversight of the FDA will also be considered. (Closed on March 15, 2026) These positions will commence for the fall 2026 semester. Priority will be given to completed applications received by December 1, 2025. Reviews will continue until positions are filled or the searches close on March 1, 2026.
