Job Summary Join an Innovative Partnership: Part-Time Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity The University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas), a proud member of the UT System, is excited to announce an opening for a part‑time Spanish‑English bilingual Speech‑Language Pathologist. This unique role offers the opportunity to work in a forward‑thinking, collaborative program with the Dallas Independent School District (DISD), aimed at enhancing speech, language, and literacy skills among preschool and elementary‑aged children. In addition to direct service, this program is designed to support the development of future professionals by recruiting and training graduate students in UT Dallas's Master’s program in Communication Disorders, to eventually work in an urban school district such as DISD. Minimum Education and Experience High school graduate or equivalent. Preferred Education and Experience A Master’s degree in Communication Disorders or Speech‑Language Pathology is preferred. Bilingual in Spanish and have experience working in public school settings, addressing a variety of communication disorders, and supervising graduate students in a Communication Disorders program. Other Qualifications To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support the implementation and coordination of a collaborative project between Dallas ISD and The University of Texas at Dallas. Mentor and supervise graduate students in the provision of speech, language, and literacy interventions within DISD elementary schools. Oversee and assist with the evaluation and treatment of children with a variety of communication disorders. Additional Information Work Notice This position requires on‑site, in‑person work. Requirements Current Texas license to practice Speech‑Language Pathology Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred, but not required Clinical Fellows (CFs) are not eligible for this role Schedule & Availability Availability – Monday‑Thursday mornings and one afternoon per week during the UT Dallas academic year Flexible scheduling available during summer and academic breaks Position is 10 hours per week Two openings are available Work Location Callier Center for Communication Disorders – Dallas, located at 1966 Inwood Road, Dallas, TX 75235.
