**Aerotek aviation is looking for a fabrication specialist in Charleston, SC for a contract role.****Job Description**This role involves utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English. The Fabrication Specialist C performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks. The majority of responsibility is for non-baseline work requiring interpretation of established processes and instructions to troubleshoot and develop solutions to complex non-standard work. The role requires working independently with limited direction from lead and manager.**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):**• Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd )• 7+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience working with decorative finishes.• Experience specialized in design and/or analysis of aircraft interior modifications• Required technical skills include file, sand, paint, decorative laminate ("declam"), and cosmetic rework (ex. paint color match, surface texture match, etc.)+ 787 or composite aircraft experience**Job Type**This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).Pay: $35.00 local / $40.00 per diem**Work Site**This is a fully on-site position in North Charleston, South Carolina.**Work Environment**This role involves working in variable shifts, contractors must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.**About Aerotek:**We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
