Summary:
The RN – Infection Prevention/Quality is responsible for the following:
Infection Prevention: Is responsible for the oversight of the Infection Prevention Plan, for collection of data relating to infection and the infectious potential of the hospital environment and present the aggregate data for analysis and review. Will be required to assist in training of team members on an ongoing basis. Will be responsible for the surveillance and reporting of infectious disease to the state department of health. Will provide follow up of assigned patients or unit following infection control criteria and approved guidelines. Will work closely with the Director of Epidemiology at JCMC and utilize the infection control committee at JCMC for reporting needs.
Performance Improvement: Is responsible for providing direction to all levels of teams pursuing performance improvement to include; development of departmental performance improvement plans to the implementation of those plans. Will refer to the Ballad PI plan and insure implementation throughout JCCH. Detailed knowledge of regulations regarding leadership and PI is required. Experience in application of quality tools a must. This position will include all PI including both administrative and medical staff PI, encouraging medical staff involvement. The PI manager will lead and manage the application process for the Tennessee Quality Award or similar awards and will manage the community health initiatives. The position requires leading meetings as well as ensuring minutes are produced and reported.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed to practice as a Professional Nurse in the appropriate state. The position requires at least 3 years of varied clinical experience. Organizational skills and project design a must. Need excellent written and verbal communication skills

Valid and active RN licensure in appropriate state
