Proco Group, a market-leading global search and advisory firm, is seeking a Researcher to join our Consumer practice within Food, Beverage & Ingredients in our Houston, TX office. We are an executive search and advisory partner specializing in the commodity, industrial, and consumer markets. With offices in various global locations including Houston, TX, we help organizations and senior professionals make strategic decisions and secure top talent. Role Description

In this position, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality intelligence and insights on the Consumer market, trends and talent landscape supporting an Executive Search Consultant by conducting comprehensive sourcing strategies and analysis to identify, evaluate and engage potential candidates. This role offers flexibility for remote work 2 days per week with 3 days in our Houston office.


Overview of Key Accountabilities:

Candidate Sourcing, Selection and Relationship Management

  • Works closely with the Consultant to understand the client’s requirements and specific criteria of the position.
  • Devises and carries out a targeted research strategy.
  • Conducts comprehensive research to identify potential candidates through using professional networks, the CRM, LinkedIn and other sourcing tools.
  • Researches updated sourcing techniques and tools and uses these to source candidates.
  • Is able to successfully pitch the role and opportunity to candidates.
  • Evaluates individuals by conducting thorough interviews based on the proven skills, knowledge, abilities and aptitudes outlined in the position specification and develops a shortlist to present to the client/Developer.
  • Schedules interviews and provides appropriate interview feedback to candidates
  • Ensures the CRM is maintained and kept up to date for current and future searches.
  • Manages expectations of the process, timescales, remuneration and provides views and opinions to help guide and influence decision making including resignation advice.
  • Implements a high quality aftercare strategy for all unsuccessful candidates including sharing feedback, to provide an exceptional candidate experience.


Market Knowledge

  • Is highly knowledgeable in their practice and seen as an expert by their candidates.
  • Proactively carries out and shares internally research on industry trends, clients and their competitors and talent movements to ensure you stay up to date on the market.
  • Proactively maps and engages individuals in the market to pipeline potential new opportunities and high quality profiles.


Advisory services

Assists in the preparation of market analysis and ad-hoc reports to provide insights on search, assessment and benchmarking, talent pipelining & succession and competitor and compensation intelligence.
