Automation Robotics Engineer

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Dechert, LLP is a global specialist law firm focused on high-end legal work. This position will join our growing Enterprise Intelligence team and will help implement process automation solutions for business functions and legal teams. This position requires a good understanding of robotic process automation (UiPath is a plus). The right person will be passionate about exploring all the possibilities that robotic process automation offers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develops and writes code using a modern Object-Oriented Programming (C#, or similar) with an understanding in data structures, algorithms, and databases.
- Utilizes Alteryx for data preparation, blending, and advanced analytics when applicable, to enhance automation projects.
- Continuously research and stay up to date with RPA industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Stays up to date with technology and enjoys trying cutting edge projects.
- Eagerness to try the next big technological development when it arrives.
- Responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget. Involved in the full systems life cycle.
- Makes recommendations on functionality and use of robotics.
- Contributes to overall team and firm goals.
- Performs any and all other duties as necessary as assigned by your manager for efficient functioning of the department, Office, and Firm.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND INTERESTS:
- Experience in programming languages like C#, ASP.Net.
- Experience with scripting languages.
- Knowledge in RPA UiPath Development, RPA Solution delivery, and RPA tools a plus.
- Knowledge in Orchestrator, building attended and unattended bots a plus.
- Experience with data manipulation and analytics using Alteryx.
- SharePoint development experience is a plus.
- Knowledge with Visual Basic a plus.
- Database experience is a must.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong technical mind-set, including problem solving, troubleshooting, logical reasoning.
- A continuous self-learner.
- Ability to learn new technology.
- Able to work on projects with a high degree of independence.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Approximately 3 years of related work experience.
- Computer Science or Related Degree and/or development certification a plus.
