Job Summary:

The Engineering Design Technician will provide design support using AutoCAD and Revit for project support, bid packages, and drawing control across Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing/Piping disciplines for pharmaceutical manufacturing facility design projects.

Job Duties:

  • Meet with project teams and outside engineering firms to gather requirements.
  • Produce CAD designs and assist in overall drawing coordination.
  • Utilize BIM Revit software and CAD Autodesk AutoCAD tools to develop designs, bid packages, construction, and as-built drawing documentation.
  • Receive, review, and adjust as-built AutoCAD/Revit design data to align with CAD standards.
  • Check design data into the drawing management system.
  • Create or modify drawings to support validation systems for various divisions.
  • Work with various teams and manage small- to large-size projects within an engineering specialty.
  • Handle multiple concurrent assignments and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant design/drafting experience in an engineering or construction environment.
  • Proficient in CAD modeling using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Familiarity with facility process piping (e.g., Compressed Air, Nitrogen, water systems).
  • Review and adjust CAD/BIM models.
  • Experience in developing process flow diagrams and one-line drawing updates for MEP systems.
  • Ability to understand and coordinate drawing sets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • AutoDesk AutoCAD or Revit certification highly desired.
