Welder- 2nd ShiftJob DescriptionComposite Advantage designs and manufactures high-performance Fiber Reinforced Polymer composite products. We are a world leading supplier of FRP products for bridges, waterfront infrastructure and rail platforms - based on award winning technology and innovative designs.We are currently seeking to hire a Welding Technician to work in our Dayton, OH manufacturing facility. This is a direct-hire position and is full-time, 40 hours/week, second shift, Monday - Friday, OT as required.Responsibilities for the ideal candidate include:Mig and tig weldingCutting of steel using a cut-off saw and bandsawRead blue prints and complete fabricationAdhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipmentReliable attendance. Must be at work every day and on timeQualifications:1 + years of experience in mig/tig welding.Must be proficient in plasma cutting, band saw, drill preps, and oxy-acetyleneMust be able to read a tape measure to the 16thMust be able to pass an onsite weld testMust have a high school diploma or GEDAbility to lift up to 50 poundsWork will require standing most of the dayAbility to read a tape measure and scalePrevious experience working with composites, but not requiredMust be able to work around fiberglass and fumes from resins and paints (PPE will be provided)Must be able to follow written and verbal manufacturing instructionsMust be able to work in a team environmentWhy join Composite Advantage:We offer a very competitive compensation package for all employees.
