Travel Coordinator II

Description: The Travel Coordinator II performs a variety of tasks, including calculating, posting, and verifying transactions, as well as gathering financial data to maintain accurate accounting records. The role also involves compiling and sorting documents to substantiate accounting transactions, verifying and posting transaction details, and computing and recording charges, refunds, and other expenses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a working knowledge of maximum per diem rates, mileage rates, and other relevant information for CONUS.
  • Verifies information and calculates travel authorizations and expense reports.
  • Confirms travel itineraries in accordance with Creek Nation objectives.
  • Ensures original receipts are attached to travel expense reports.
  • Informs travelers of insufficient documentation regarding travel needs/arrangements.
  • Ensures receipts are sufficient to offset travel advances and obtains proper documentation to liquidate advances.
  • Responsible for stamping/labeling and documents.
  • Ensures total travel voucher packages are complete, initials, and forwards to OMB for final disposition.
  • Responsible for inputting travel data and entering computer reports regarding the same.
  • Reconciles the Nation's credit cards every billing cycle and submits payments in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in related fields of Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Governmental travel training and experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience for 1 year educational credit.
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and/or related areas of formal specialized training in an accredited institution of higher learning.
