Holzer Health System is seeking an additional BE/BC Anesthesiologist to serve as the Section Chief.
- Two-year guaranteed salary
- Additional compensation for the section chief role
- Sign on bonus
- Student loan reimbursement
- Early commitment monthly stipend (when signed prior to completion of residency/fellowship program)
- CME reimbursement and time off
- Moving expense reimbursement
- Annual time off, health, dental, vision, malpractice, life and long-term disability, and retirement
- Qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF)
Practice Details
- Mostly supervision of CRNAs with some independent cases
- Diverse case mix - Orthopedics, ENT, General Surgery, Cath Lab, OB/GYN, Podiatry, GI, MRI with sedation, and Pediatrics (healthy only)
- Regional skills required
- Fantastic work environment with great support staff
- Two Anesthesiologists in the system
- Home base will be in Gallipolis in outpatient setting, but some inpatient will be required
- No call/weekends
Section Chief Duties
- Ensure regulatory compliance for anesthesia service, which may involve attending or running meetings as appropriate
- Provide medical oversight of the CRNAs in both the ambulatory and acute setting
- Rotate as site manager between acute and ambulatory sites as required by the Medical Director
- Provide support to the Medical Director and Department Director/Manager which may include but is not limited to the following:
- Assisting with long and short-term planning efforts for anesthesia service
- Reviewing and developing policies and procedures that affect anesthesia
- Providing advice and direction to medical and administrative staff in the development of policies promoting quality anf efficient medical care and quality as it relates to the service line
- Participating in provider recruiting activities
- Attending medical and operational leadership meetings as requested
