Holzer Health System is seeking an additional BE/BC Hematologist/Oncologist to join our team and serve in the role of Cancer Center Section Chief .

  • Two-year guaranteed salary + production incentive and bonus opportunity

Practice Details:

  • Full scope cancer treatment; sub specialization not required
  • 60/40 Hematology/Oncology
  • One of three facilities in the country affiliated with Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center
  • Minimal call (mainly consults)
  • Average 12-18 patients per day
  • Built in referral base with over 55 primary care providers
  • True Beam Radiation Oncology Services
  • Robust support services including General Surgery, Pathology, Interventional Radiology, Wound Care, Home Health, Physical/Occupational Therapy, and more
  • Schedule - M-F 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Section Chief Duties:

  • Provide regulatory oversight of the Cancer Center, including Joint Commission and Commission on Cancer (COC) accreditation
  • Serve as the Cancer Liaison Physician on the Cancer Committee
  • Assist with long and short-term planning efforts for the Cancer Center, including making recommendations for equipment acquisition, new services, and provider staffing needs
  • Assist with the development of policies and procedures for operations of the Cancer Center (e.g. schedules, workflows, call coverage) ensuring optimal quality and ethical conduct pertaining to patient care
  • Facilitate the overall marketing and promotion of the Cancer Center
  • Develop relationships for the coordination of patient care with stakeholders, including but not limited to referral sources, patients, and community members
  • Participate in provider recruitment for the Cancer Center as requested, making recommendations for hire to the Medical Director
  • Actively participate in staff interviews, as well as performance improvement activities and staff development
