Position: Tax Firm Director Location: St. Louis, MO (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire About the role: We are seeking an experienced Tax Firm Director to lead our tax division, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure the delivery of high-quality tax services. This role requires strong leadership, deep tax expertise, and the ability to build client relationships while guiding a high-performing team. Responsibilities Lead daily operations and overall strategy for the Tax Division. Oversee tax compliance, client engagements, and advisory services for individuals and businesses. Mentor and manage tax professionals and administrative staff. Review and approve complex tax returns and ensure regulatory compliance. Drive business development, revenue growth, and process optimization. Collaborate with firm leadership to align tax strategies with financial advisory goals. Implement technology, workflow improvements, and quality-control initiatives. Monitor industry trends and advise clients on tax implications. Prepare and present performance metrics, forecasts, and strategic plans. Qualifications Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred). Minimum 10+ years of tax experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. Proven team leadership, client management, and business development skills. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
