The position provides the opportunity for developing sophisticated storage subsystems and server infrastructure solutions, setting the technical and design direction for Dell’s Embedded Server Storage team, and responsibility for its implementation into the enterprise server portfolio.
The successful candidate can engage in all aspects of the development process, including architecture and design, process improvement, test strategy, manufacturing, fault isolation and resolution of development and field issues.
This is a senior technical development team role that requires strong verbal and written communication; and demonstrating engineering expertise and rigor through debug of complex issues for enterprise solutions.

Develop and review of test strategies for embedded software running on PCIe switches in complex ecosystems. Partner and work across organizations and sites worldwide to ensure success in the business
Provide technical leadership for the engineering team throughout the product lifecycle, setting technical standards for the team, and providing technical mentorship for the less experienced members of the team
BS or MS Engineering degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 12+ years relevant experience.
Architecture, design and product development experience with enterprise server and storage products. Working knowledge of key storage concepts such as SAS/SATA and NVMe. UEFI, Windows, VMWare, and Linux OS debug skills
Experience with virtual environments (VMs)
The position is not a programming role, although solid concepts of high-level programming languages (C/C++ and Python) is recommended
