The Position

We are currently growing our Professional Liability Practice Group and are looking for an Associate who is experienced in successfully resolving professional liability matters to join our dynamic team.

Essential responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Independently support and advise the firm’s professional clients in matters of claims avoidance, ethical issues, malpractice, and negligence
  • Provide legal analysis and develop litigation strategy
  • Conduct discovery, take depositions, draft motions, attend hearings and negotiate settlements
  • Respond to client needs and requests

Ideal candidates for this position will possess the following qualifications:

  • Florida Bar admission /member in good standing
  • 5-7 years professional liability litigation experience
  • Good client relationship management skills
  • Desire to work in a professional, collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Ability to develop and manage a book of business (an existing book of business is preferred, but not required)
  • Strong academic background
  • Excellent research, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to provide high quality work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
