R&O Maintenance Technician As an R&O Maintenance Technician here at Solstice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and operational efficiency of our equipment and systems. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high standards of safety and performance in our operations. You will report directly to our Maintenance Manager, and you'll work out of our Colonial Heights, VA location. In this role, you will impact the success of Solstice by ensuring that maintenance activities are conducted efficiently and effectively, thereby minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on equipment performance. Follow preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize equipment breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Continuously improve maintenance processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Perform duties that involve climbing ladders and crawling under duct work and machinery. Perform jobs that require scaffolds and man lifts. Working at heights including ceiling mounted HVAC units. Remove bulk tops. Replace and repair spin pumps. Perform U joint PM's. PM HVAC units and clean coils. Service steam and electric heating units. Running temporary electrical and steam lines. Replacing office lightbulbs. Remove and replace screens on draw lines. Installing overhead rigging for jobs. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, including inspections, lubrication, and adjustments. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring that equipment is restored to optimal working condition. Follow preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize equipment breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory. Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Continuously improve maintenance processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications You Must Have 5+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. Experience with troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment. Familiarity with maintenance management systems and practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. We Value High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
