In this role, you'll maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across diverse commercial properties, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency. This position offers opportunities to strengthen and advance your technical expertise while working with cutting‑edge building technologies and sustainable solutions that make a meaningful impact on how people experience their workspaces.What your day‑to‑day will look likePerform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, air handlers, and rooftop unitsDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in commercial HVAC systemsConduct routine inspections and testing of building automation systems and controlsRespond to tenant comfort complaints and emergency service calls promptly and professionallyMaintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment performance dataCollaborate with facility management teams to optimize energy efficiency and system performanceSupport sustainability initiatives through proper equipment operation and energy conservation practicesRequired qualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent with completion of HVAC technical training program2+ years of experience in commercial HVAC maintenance and repairValid EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling CertificationStrong understanding of electrical systems, controls, and building automation systemsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsPhysical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditionsExcellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detailPreferred qualificationsAssociate's degree in HVAC technology or related fieldAdditional certifications such as NATE, AAON, or manufacturer‑specific trainingExperience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Knowledge of energy management systems and sustainable building practicesCommercial driver's license (CDL) or ability to obtain onePrevious experience in commercial real estate or property management environmentsLocationThousand Oaks, CAEstimated compensation for this position74,000.00 – 83,200.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ.
