Join Our Team as a Sales and Territory Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and nurture customer relationships through a collaborative approach in a team-based selling model.
• Manage delivery schedules published by the transportation department, promptly resolving issues like delivery mishaps and stock-outs.
• Communicate effectively with clients to collect accounts receivable, collaborating with the credit department as necessary.
• Utilize market intelligence and business directories to identify and develop new business opportunities, following leads from existing clients and participating in industry events.
• Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and the competitive landscape, sharing valuable insights with customers.
• Travel to meet existing customers and prospects, delivering products and handling physical tasks, including lifting items up to 75 lbs.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

• Internal: Collaborate with the District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP of Local Sales, Accounting/Credit Department, Merchandising and Marketing, Operations, and Customer Contact.
• External: Build connections with customers, vendors, and prospective clients.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Engage frequently in the field, visiting customers in a variety of weather conditions.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• 1+ year of sales experience (foodservice/hospitality experience is a plus).
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with proven presentation abilities.
• Ability to forge relationships and engage in cold calling to develop new business.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with CRM tools like Salesforce.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

LICENSES:

Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This role will require physical activities, including frequent standing, walking, and driving, with the ability to lift and carry items of varying weight categories. Specific details on physical tasks are outlined in the job specifications.

COMPENSATION:

The salary for this position varies based on experience and geographic location, with an expected range of $61,500 to $92,300. Additional incentive compensation is available. Comprehensive benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and more.
