Our challenge
The Senior Pega Architect will be responsible for the design, architecture, and development of Pega-based applications. They will lead projects and provide technical guidance to junior developers. The candidate should have a deep understanding of Pega PRPC (Pega Rules Process Commander) tools and lead the design and development of Pega solutions.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh, PA, Dallas, TX is $120k - $130k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-quality, performant, and maintainable Pega applications.
- Implement best practices in Pega architecture, design, and coding.
- Work closely with business analysts and other team members to understand the business requirements and translate them into Pega solutions.
- Lead the technical team through project completion, providing mentorship and guidance to junior developers.
- Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with application quality, coding, UI and Corporate standards.
- Ensure system capacity, performance, and failure recovery processes are in place.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation as required.
- Manage the deployment of Pega updates, integrations, and new development projects.
- Remain current on Pega technologies and best practices and share knowledge with the team.
Requirements:
You are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Pega version 8.x.
- Lead System Architect (LSA) certification is required
- Proven experience in Pega systems scaling and integration.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
It would be great if you also had:
- Knowledge of web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
- Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Knowledge in database design and SQL
