*Job Description*
* The CMA functions under the direct supervision and authority of the physician when determining competencies and performing clinical tasks during patient care.
* Some of these functions include initial patient assessments and obtaining patient medical histories.
* Specific to the Pain Center the assessment may include pain inventories, opioid risk assessments, and other chronic pain patient specific assessments.
* The CMA administers medications and immunizations, obtains vital signs, maintains an inventory of appropriate supplies, ensures safe and efficient patient flow, tracks high-risk referrals and lab tests, facilitates safe transitions of care, organizes the practice environment to assure patient safety and quality health outcomes, and contributes to designated quality measures.
*Requirements*
* Prior office experience required
* Epic experience preferred
* One year of experience required.
* Pain Management experience a plus
*Required Licenses & Certifications*
* Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, NCCT, AMT or NHA preferred
