Ramp Supervisor

We are seeking an outgoing and dynamic Operations Supervisor to lead our Ramp and Transportation Department, managing a team of at least 15 employees. Main AccountabilitiesSupervisor Responsibility
- Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed and that all delivery times are being met timely
- Ensure on-time and accurate production and/or catering of all flights
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
- Conduct daily safety audits (A1s)
- Conduct daily work group meetings
- Schedule and control staff to meet labor productivity and overtime targets
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and all government regulatory agencies standards (example: Food and Drug Administration (FDA), United Stated Department of Agriculture (USDA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), Department of Transportation (DOT), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), etc.)
- Document and follow up on all department processes in order to implement improvements
- Open availability, weekends and holidays as operations require
- Other duties as deemed necessary
Leadership
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff to uphold high standards of performance, professionalism, and customer service
- Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed
- Plan / Implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
- Participate and support company sponsored initiatives such as GQS, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety and CBase
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge required
- In addition, one to three years of related work experience required
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and best practices
- Experience managing CDL drivers preferred
- Experience with DOT requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Proven analytical and leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA and EPA regulations
