+$2.50 for weekend shifts.

Boulder Community Health is seeking an Addiction Counselor who develops and implements a culturally responsive, evidence-based substance use disorder (SUD) treatment program, who performs assessment, therapy, and treatment planning.

Qualifications
•Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, or similar is preferred.
•Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) or Certified Addiction Specialist required.
•BLS from the American Heart Association required within 90-day conditional period.
•Five years on ASAM 3.7 withdrawal management unit preferred.
•Three years of emergency, acute or outpatient behavioral or substance use disorder care as LCSW or LPC required.

Responsibilities
•Develop and implement evidence-based SUD therapy program.
•Mentor and educate staff in SUD assessment, treatment, and recovery.
•Ongoing monitoring to assure program meets statutory, regulatory, compliance, and quality requirements.
•Data-driven incremental improvement.
•Assess patient’s condition and identify problems, goals, and intervention.
•Collaborate with patient, family or loved ones, and interdisciplinary team to develop and update treatment plan.
•Act as patient advocate.
•Ensure care is trauma-informed and appropriate to patient’s emotional, social, and mental development.
•Facilitate group therapy and individual therapy sessions.
•Educate and validate patient, family and/or loved ones’ understanding.
