  • Observe and comply with DOT, OSHA, and State and Federal Safety Regulations.
  • Follow all company and regulatory agency safety policies.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Drive vehicles on scheduled routes to pick up and then deliver stock.
  • Verify and complete the correct product and documentation when making or picking up deliveries.
  • Verify all contents for delivery against delivery papers.
  • Deliver friendly and professional service to customers.
  • Load and unload your vehicle where applicable.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and safety of all loads carried.
  • Check vehicle and safety equipment daily.
  • Check for any scratches or dents.
  • Check and clean the back of the truck to ensure cleanliness.
  • Report any needed repairs or special maintenance to your supervisor immediately.
  • Obey all traffic laws, including, but not limited to, driving within posted speed limits, stopping and looking for traffic at all stop signs, no cell phone usage without Bluetooth devices, no texting while driving or at a stop sign/light, and driving defensively.
  • Report any unsafe equipment or working conditions to your supervisor.
  • Take your breaks and lunch as required by the law and company procedures.
  • Requires flexible working hours and weekend availability.
  • When not driving, render assistance in the warehouse, wrapping pallets, cleaning, etc.
  • Count and organize pallets when leaving and returning to the company.
  • Responsible for returning with the same number of pallets you leave with.
  • Ability to perform additional tasks from time to time as determined by Bertolino Foods in its sole and absolute discretion.
  • Schedule hours Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with availability to work overtime and occasionally a Saturday.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Driving and Transportation, preferably in the food industry.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen for DOT Medical Card
  • Ability to drive a 26-foot Box Truck.
  • Clean driving record, no moving violations, and accident-free for five years.
