Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines and heavy equipment in accordance with factory standards.
  • Communicate with service advisors to ensure timely completion of repairs and notify them of any additional work required.
  • Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
  • Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and notify service advisors of any damage or issues.
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and events.
  • Perform road tests and refer to test technicians as needed.
  • Save and tag parts under warranty or customer request.
  • Examine assigned vehicles for safety and service work requirements.
  • Report machinery defects and malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Communicate with parts departments to obtain necessary parts.
Qualifications
  • Certificates, licenses, and registrations are preferred but not required.
  • Paccar MX Certification.
  • Cummins Engine Certification for ISB, ISC, and ISX 2150-2350.
  • Heating and Air Conditioning Certification for Commercial Truck.
  • Manual Drive Train and Axle Certification for Auto/Light Truck.
  • Brakes Certification for Medium/Heavy Truck.
  • Drive Train Certification for Eaton and Meritor.
  • State Emission Certification.
  • State Vehicle Inspector Certification.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Compensation

Salary range: $50,000 - $100,000 per year, based on skill level and certifications.

Physical Requirements

This role requires regular climbing, reaching, and stretching to grasp objects. Standing for prolonged periods is necessary, as well as physical ability to operate equipment and machinery. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently is required. Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, pushing, and pulling are frequent activities.
