About the Role:

The Business Risk and Control Officer is a strategic professional who plays a key role in contributing to governance and facilitating the execution of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA).

This individual is responsible for supporting teams in implementing the Control Framework, analyzing issue root causes, and providing recommendations for corrective actions

The Business Risk and Control Officer also contributes to the Lessons Learned Policy, reviews and challenges control processes, and monitors adherence to established policies and standards.



Responsibilities:

Contribute to governance and facilitate the execution of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA)

Support teams in implementing the Control Framework and ensuring quality, completeness, and accuracy

Analyze issue root causes, provide recommendations for corrective actions, and ensure appropriate escalation

Contribute to the Lessons Learned Policy and disseminate learnings across business units for process improvement

Review and challenge control processes within FLUs to mitigate risks as required by Control Standards

Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of the MCA through quality controls

Monitor adherence to the MCA Standard through post-process controls

Assist in managing Operational and Compliance Risk in accordance with established Policy requirements

Identify, assess, escalate, and manage risk exposures across Risk Categories in accordance with enterprise Policies



Education Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field



Required Skills:

Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to communicate effectively and influence others

Knowledge of control frameworks and policies

Attention to detail and ability to handle complex deliverables

Commercial awareness and ability to impact overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family
