Inova Mount Vernon Progressive Care Unit is an 8 bed, Level 3 unit. Severe sepsis, DKA with PH>7, simple pneumonia requiring non-invasive ventilation, acute stroke, post-intervention STEMI without MCS, intermediate-low risk PE, and post-procedure patients requiring frequent monitoring.

The Inova RN:
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients/families, nurse and healthcare delivery teams. To help achieve our mission, you will consistently provide safe and therapeutic care in a holistic/systematic way while incorporating differences into the provision of care and conducting all patient care in a patient/family centered manner. Your ability to determine processes for delivery of care from direct patient/family communication, technology and other healthcare team member collaboration is essential.

Schedule: 3 x 12 hour shifts. Full-Time/Nights
Requirements: Requires a minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting
Minimum Education Requirement: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required and ACLS strongly preferred (must obtain within first 3 months)
Minimum Licensure/ Certification Requirement:
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
