Responsibilities:
  • Design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot electrical circuits that include motors, sensors, batteries, microcontrollers, RF, analog, & digital components
  • Design Test Fixtures
  • Schematic and layout design using Altium Design Software
  • Support integration activities with other teams (Firmware, Software, Systems, Mechanical, Operations & Quality)
  • Circuit analysis and simulation
  • Use Python or MATLAB to analyze data.
  • Manage design tradeoffs on performance, risk, manufacturability, and cost.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Lead technical reviews.
  • Lead activities related to IEC 60601 testing.
  • Write and perform engineering studies.
  • Write architecture documents.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of design and development experience in electrical engineering
  • Experience with Design for PCB manufacturability, assembly, and testability (Most important)
  • Proficiency in using Lab Tools such as Oscilloscopes and Data Loggers
  • Experience with UART, USB, I2C, and SPI

  • Experience with PCB and Schematic Design Software (Altium Designer Preferred)
  • Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
  • Experience with high volume PCB design/manufacturing.
  • Experience with Microchip and Silicon Labs Microcontrollers
  • Experience with medical electrical safety standards (IEC 60601)
  • Experience with FMEA and Hazard Analysis
  • Experience with Fail-safe designs.
  • Experience with disposables.
  • Experience with wearable/portable devices.
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
